Want to take a tour this year...where can I go
So I still have about 3 days and change of vacation time left to request, so I'm thinking I'd like to take a short bike tour around Illinois or the neighboring areas. I live in the SW suburbs of chicago with easy access to the Prairie Path, I&M, and whatever else. My only questions is, what's an interesting place to ride to that would be doable in 5-6 days?

SW Burb as well...........did you ever try the Old Plank Road path/trail? Also - my wife and I rode the Fox River trail earlier this summer and it is BEAUTIFUL............If you are ambitious - I hear the Katy Trail near St. Louis is 200+ miles long.........another really nice day trip is along the lakefront - from South to North (but NOT on the weekends I understand)..........I guess multiple shorter day trips - or the Katy - or - some thread I read (here but not sure which forum) had some nice options in Michigan along the big pond...........have a blast!

thanks for the tips! I should say that I just put in time from Oct. 26-31. I'd like to be on the bike for all of that!
