???adding a bit of color???

I'm delighted with my new ride, a 2015 Specialized Crosstrail Comp, no issues whatsoever. Except that it's...
...so black! I know that matte black bikes have been the rage for quite a while, all you have to do is take a look through the many shots of hybrids in the "post pictures of your hybrid" sticky thread page to see how many of them fall into that category. It seems its the "sexy" color these days for anything on wheels.
So I'm trying to find an easy, but not too tacky, way to add a splash of color to my new bike and welcome any thoughts or suggestions on the matter.

Thanks, and remember, not tacky!!;)

Your choice of: handlebar grips lockrings, bar ends, seatpost clamp, saddle, stem spacers, break/shifter cable housing (only brake cable housing for example, not all 4 cables), chainring bolts, RD pulley, bottle cages, tires... Just chose a color scheme that you like a do it tastefully...

My personal preference goes to smaller details such as seatpost clamp, grip lockrings, RD pulley and cable housing possibly matching the color scheme found on the tires (how about wine red?).

I'm in total agreement, these bikes are really needing some more color added. I've been throwing around the idea of putting some more red stripes on mine.

Bottle cages would seem to be the ideal first place to start.

...yep, did that already, a red anodized bottle cage already resides in the appropriate location, along with a silver hand pump - just in case...
...just need a few more spots of color, I'm thinking I'll stick with red and silver accents, it looks kind of classy against the black.

I started to get a little bored with the silver and black of my Giant Escape. I wanted trekking bars anyway, so I added some and wrapped them with red tape. Replaced my black bottle cages with red ones, red pannier, and will probably add some more accents whenever I come across some in local stores, I'm not going out of my way to do any more modifications at the moment.

Easy wins (minimal install stuffing around) :
Pedals
Grips
Bottle Cages
Saddle
Tires

As mentioned above then you've got the more high maintenance things
seatpost
spacers
bars
screws
cable outers.....

Once nice thing with the DS is it even has matching (blue) cable fray stoppers.

Add some graphics/stripes with reflective tape.
