I've noticed that Schwinn is actually coming out with what appears to be a nice gravel bike with what appears to be a hybrid frame. I was curious on what people's or owners reaction or thoughts of Schwinn's current Vantage hybrids are? Are they heavy, comfortable, decent or just overpriced Wal Mart bikes? Does that decoupler Schwinn put onto the frames actually work or is this something that is going to horribly break after so much riding?

This caught my eye and thought it seemed interesting from what I had read. I would have put this in the Cyclecross/gravel bikes section, but really didn't want to be laughed at for the thought of owning a Schwinn in a very competitive market.

I had emailed Performance Bikes sales department asking if they have any plans on selling this bike since they sell Schwinn's. I've been told no, they do not have any plans on offering this bike. So I'm assuming this bike will become an Internet for sale type of bike.

Schwinn has an LBS dealer line of quality bikes.

I have a decade-old Schwinn Super Sport DBX, which is kind of an early gravel road/adventure bike and the new Schwinn Vantage RX1 follows that heritage.

I expect Schwinn LBS dealers and Internet bike shops to have it available later in the summer.
