Specialized Vita max tire size?
Does anyone know what's the max tire size that a 2016 Specialized Vita Sport can take? I'm guessing 700x38 (it comes with 32's). Very nice women's hybrid by the way.

No answers. But 38 looks to be maximum width based on seat stays clearance. If anyone else is riding a Vita, interested in your experience and opinion.

It's best to just measure.
You can use a ruler with cm markings. Or, get a caliper. I have a plastic caliper from Harbor Freight that was less than $5, and is excellent for measuring tire clearance.

Yes, thanks, measurement confirmed it. I'd think, though, that the bike specs or manual would include max tire size.

I can say that I see lots of bikes with their ORIGINAL tires from the factory when they come in for repairs or tuneups at the bike shop. Some of us can't stop tinkering, and some of us never touch the bike except to ride it.

Yes, it would be welcome but it's uncommon. Some manufacturers list tire clearance in the bike specs online, but not all. Most of the major manufacturers seem to expect you to keep the exact same tires on the bike throughout its life.
