Converting a 80's DB MTN to a Hybridish Bike Will these Tires work?

DB has a beefy 2.0-2.2 tire not sure, '88 Stumpjumper.
Can we put these on the same rims?

Nashbar Rambler City Tire

Or what do you recommend on the economical side?

Thanks so much!

Show us the rims. Ideally, measure the inside width of the rims, then look it up.

I have put Nashbar City Slicks 26 x 1.25 on some MTB rims of that era, others are too wide.

The new tires are 26 x 1.75. Should be OK. Good idea. You can also call Nashbar and ask about it. They are pretty good.

I have an older mtb which i use Continental 26x1.75 City Rides which i find great for about town and rail trails. I have Alex DM18 wheelset and tried a 1.5 tire (used on other bike now) but just didn't suit the oversized frame where the 1.75's look perfect on it. Over 3000km so far, no punctures and miniaml wear on them. For $30 ea....can't complain.
