Saw a GIANT sake in the middle of a trail once. Related story...my brakes were working GREAT that day! (I hate snakes something awful)
A few weeks ago on the same trail a deer was blocking the trail. I rode right up to it thinking it would get spooked and run away. It didn't. It just stood there staring at me as if to say "My trail! I'm not moving." Weirdest thing you ever did see. That deer did not fear me at all. He eventually turned and just slowly walked up the trail with me following. Went about 100 feet before he darted back into the woods.

I was treated to a skunk in my garage, when I came home this evening - needless to say, my bike went on the front porch, until he decided to vacate, to go look for grubs.
