Didn't read thread. Didn't even read first post.
Read title only.
The answer is YES. You need the second bike. In fact, you can't live without it.

Hi folks. I have 2014 Trek Neko SLX which I love but ever since I saw Giant Fastroad I can't stop thinking about getting another bike. I know it's a bit like a road bike with flat bars but does it even make sense to buy it if I don't plan to ride roads? Will it be significantly faster than Neko? I probably could put 28C tires on Trek and it would roll faster already. I know that Giant Fastroad has mens geometry and women's equivalent is Liv Thrive but specs are better on Fastroad and it looks so much sexier too

Don't make the mistake I did... I have 3 entry-level bikes which are fine. Then, I built a Colnago with latest Dura Ace. Now, I don't enjoy riding those bikes anymore. I keep wishing for another high-end bike.

One more thing. I am looking at Liv Thrive 1 Disc 2018
https://www.liv-cycling.com/us/thrive-1-disc-2018 (USD 970)
versus
Giant FastRoad SLR 1 2018 (USD 1150)
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/bi...troad-slr-2018
or Giant FastRoad SLR 1 2017 (USD 1100)
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/bikes-fastroad-slr
and I wonder if, given that mens geometry is comfortable for me at all, it's worth to pay more for FastRoad versus Thrive? Sure, FastRoad has this sexy frame shape and looks better overall but in Poland where I live it's 1/4 more pricey than Thrive.

I have gotten my regular rotation down to 5 bikes, plus a dedicated MTB. I could get down to 3 road bikes, but I think that would be a minimum. Frankly, I can't imagine having one bike to ride...that's like owning one pair of shoes.
