Fuji Mont (?) Spotted in the Wild

Winter is here and time to update the lunchpail winter bike series for 2018/19. Let's start it off with this guy, a Fuji Mont-something. Spotted it downtown outside the library and luckily had a camera in tow. The owner is highly optimistic to be generating enough speed to require aero bars in winter but one must admire the moxy. Using a cheaper yet reliable derailleur in winter is a smart choice. Too much abrasive crud chucked back there, even with front fenders. Double fender in the rear, deflector shield for the front. Sporting no front fender I'd like to see this guys shoes after riding around in the "chocolate mousse from hell". His chainrings look like alloy - better keep 'em well cleaned or they'll melt down fast in all that gritty mousse (like on the packmule, seen in the background). Probably best to run a steel chainring in the winter anyways. That, and a stainless chain if you are feeling like Rockefeller. Not sure what he was running for tires.
