Recommendations on my build
Hey guys!! New to the forum so I am not sure if this in right category. I traded a coworker of mine concert tickets for an old hybrid he had in the shop collecting dust. It is a specialized crossroad I believe from early 90's maybe late 80' not too sure. I originally took the bike just to ride around town for exercise. But, since I got it last year I have got more into riding further and further lol. Now I think I want to start using it to commute to work. The bike is in decent shape but definitely needs some work ( tires, wheels, gear issues etc.) After doing some research I see all the cool things people are doing to these older bikes. So, I want to start to rebuild this thing with modern components and bring it back to life! I have an idea of what I want it to look like ( spray.bike paint :D) and the accessories I want to get for it. What Im really look for is recommendations on is the mechanics (tires +wheels, drivetrain, etc.). Ill be doing all the work myself and look forward to sharing pictures of the process.
