Merida speeder 400 ??

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying this bike , seems to have good components and spec from my rather uneducated view.

I know absolutely nothing about the brand , and help as advise would be very welcome,

Currently have the trek FX 2 disc , I do want to stick to flat bar due to neck flexibility

They own 49% of Specialized and manufacture all of Specialized's bikes.

They are an excellent brand.

Thanks for the reply,I don't know how to reply without quoting, yeah I've done bit of searching since, I'd never heard much about them see to be better value for money , I think I've made my mind up.

The trek sport 4 is available but is 700 euro more has 1x11 gears and lower specs in general bar the frame
So I think I'll go for Merida

Merida is a great brand. The speeder was high on my list if bike availability wasnt an issue at the time.

As for your drop bar concern, they shouldnt cause any issues or pain with anything if properly setup. Not something you should totally disregard just yet , IMO.

Thanks , that's good to know , I've ordered it now , it feels like Christmas, oh wait , it is 😆.

I could never see me on drop bars, crashed motorcycle in my crazy youth , landed on my head , very lucky really , but flexibility in that area not great , I'd be crippled in that position,

I'd suffer a little bit even on the trek FX /Merida , my last bike I customised the handlebar , handlebar was about 5 inches 125mm above the saddle, was very comfortable, but of course there is a price for everything
