Can't decide on my next hybrid flat bar bike?

Looking for a decent comfortable hybrid flat bar bike with skinnier tires, not mountain bike size tires.

Had a Trek FX3 but sold it as it was more of a road racing bike compared to my wife's hybrid Devinci Milano? Looking for something pretty decent, comfortable and with decent specs. I already have a Specialized Roubaix road bike so there's that. Looking for a nice hybrid bike. I love the look of the Giant Escape 3 but how does it compare to the others. The Cannondale Quick 5 is on sale and looks great. The Specialized looks killer but maybe its too aggressive like a road bike? Not sure though. Thoughts on one you would pick out of the bunch here? Pics in the links here: Devinci dealer is out of our area? How is that Devinci Milano new bike?

Sirrus 3.0 or up would be a better choice.
A huge no on Giant. The Quick 2 looks a little better.
That is all of course if you wanted something pretty decent. The stuff listed in your post is those brands bottom of the line stuff or close to it. Anytime you see tourney run don't walk away. If you want to border on entry level look for more 9 speed stuff or better yet if you want a good solid entry level bike look for 10 speed stuff and you will enjoy it more and spend less in the long term.

7 speed came out in the late 1980s 8 speed in the early 1990s and 9 speed in the mid to late 90s so the quality of those parts have gone way down 20-30 years on so looking away from those will give you a more reliable bike long term and better shifting and braking usually and then you will start to get higher quality frames and other parts will improve which will make your cycling experience better.

However the best thing to do is go out and test ride some bikes. Most hybrids like the ones we are talking about are not even remotely close to road racing bikes but since you have a feeling they are you might ride them and see and also ask if they have something closer to a road racing bike and test ride that and compare. Your Roubaix could have been modified to be more upright or something and that could be making you think a hybrid is more aggressive or maybe your wife's bike was modified to be more upright or something. I don't know but I do know test rides are quite handy and will help you narrow things down and also that spending that little more will get you a longer lasting more reliable bike that you will be able to ride more and have in the shop less.

Went with the Specialized Sirrus 2.0. Not the X 2.0! Already have a mountain bike for that. Thanks guys! Could have went the model up but I already have a high end carbon bike - Roubaix.

I have a Trek FX 2, so basically a FX 3 with an alloy fork instead of a CF fork, and I don't think either FX would be a road racing bike. How about:

Roadlite 6 | CANYON US

If your main issue is tire width, you can always install a skinnier (and better) tire.
