Here's a shot of my 2011 Giant Rapid 3 shortly after I bought it. As pictured, the upgrades are: ... I've been really putting the miles on (73 last week, 61 the week before). |
[QUOTE=justfitme;14368530]testing Brooks. B-minus after 2 rides.
Love that blacked out look! |
I like the aggressive look.

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new here. Was looking at all the nice hybrids and decided to share a couple pics of mine with you all. It's a 2012 Trek 7.5 FX. Got it around March.

Thank you all for compliments. This is my favorite bike out of 6 I have. :)

I changed the wheels and cranks. The stock wheels are Bontrager Approved, 24-hole wheelset and the stock crank is FSA Vero, 50/34 compact road gearing. Switched the stock cranks for Shimano 105 53/39 175mm.

Here is mine looking sporty. Seeing all these hybrids looking fast made me jealous..

I really fancied myself a roadie but every minute more Igo I fancy these hybrids. Versatility is a great thing.

And looking fantastic. BTW, what saddle is that? It looks like Fizik Antares but the writing on the nose doesn't look like Antares.

I really dig the white paint job, much better than the silver. If I hadn't gone with a 7.6, that's what I would have gotten. I can't wait for my LBS to call and tell me my bike has come in. It's so painful watching you all post pictures when all I can do is drool over them.

I like the love the look of the white with red but I think the 2011 offered better components. I think the FX series is one of the most attractive group of bikes.

My latest changes to the Trek 7.2 FX: I upgraded the crankset from stock to an Origin8 Trekking, with the same 48/38/28 rings, but longer 175mm arms, and it's a lot lighter and better looking than the Shimano M171. This required a shorter bottom bracket spindle than the stock 121.5mm. I went with a Shimano UN-55 110mm to keep the correct chainline.
I wrapped my trekking bars with regular synthetic cork bar tape, on top of 400mm long foam grips. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8027/7...238e8678_m.jpghttp://farm6.staticflickr.com/5343/7...9a504a2d_m.jpghttp://farm6.staticflickr.com/5447/7...9909e848_m.jpghttp://farm8.staticflickr.com/7276/7...52d329c5_m.jpg |
^ Looks like a sweet bike. I like the bar tape.

Thanks! :beer:

Here is my rig. Nothing fancy or expensive, but it rides good and serves my purposes well. I have only been in this for less than 2 months so go easy on me :)
