THIS THREAD CAN'T BE RELEGATED TO "PAGE 2"!! Let's see some of your rides!

Today, it was a Dawn Patrol. I left about 45 minutes before sunrise to be out on the lake when the sun came up.

First ride today since my last post here, have to admit i'm a out of cycling shape now but won't be long getting back in form.
It was a perfect Spring day the best riding conditions possible but can't show it here. The SD card wouldn't communicate with the camera and wouldn't even let me reformat it so ended up just carrying a heavy lump in my backpack

Yesterday, took me up the 3rd steepest and my first hill of the Dirty Dozen hills of Pittsburgh. 13-28% average 18.5% but was rather short at around a quarter mile.

The result, my 3rd broken spoke in 3 weeks which results in me not getting a ride in today. Have to figure that out. Not too confident with the local shop owner.

With the time change, looks like all my weekday riding will be in the dark now.

Well had to miss riding last weekend the weather was so bad but rode today. A very hot day, summer is here and a ride still finding my cycling legs, a great ride.

Just one shot of the damage yet to be fixed. Adelaide had a shocking winter of storms and floods with much damage done.

The sea looked crystal clear, would have been nice to dive it but looked like a nice day to be taken by a Great White.
Driving home on the radio was a news report of a 6 metre GW at Glenelg where I took the shot

Beautiful weather for Friday Lightup Night in Pittsburgh. Took the day off because my buddy at work took off. Then his wife came home Thursday with a surprise for him. She jumped through a million hoops to get the day off work so they could have 1 last bike date with probably the last nice day of the year. I got dumped, LOL.

So the plan was to just head down myself and ride all day. Then I got a text that they were meeting up at 7 to ride around after dark and see the fireworks. We met up, some others arrived and as we were ready to leave, more were on their way. Our normal group all started out with separate plans and ended up together. It was a blast running all around the city after dark. Some pics....

Spent half a day at Pittman Wash in Las Vegas. It's a nice 1/2 paved and 1/2 unpaved trail.

A very nice shady area near me to pedal is in Mandarin neighborhood. I biked on my hybrid here:

to Walter Jones Park:

Some of the back roads in Mandarin are perfect for leisure biking. This particular road is thin, as if designed for bikes!. You pass a softball park, historic homes, art festival, cemetery..:

Same ride as previous weeks city, coast to Glenelg back to the city. Sticking to casual rides right now finding my current employment very physically demanding.

The security is for the Carols by Candlelight concert tonight just out of picture.

Just a bit down the river was the monthly RC boat races.

Where the Torrens river exits to the sea. Not very pretty but this path go's 35km behind me through the city to the hills without ever riding on roads with cars.

Looking behind from the last pic i'm zoomed in on the hills. I do prefer just riding in the hills.

Going along the coast to Glenelg

Glenelg where the first settlers landed

Cold front coming in tonight, so I got out this afternoon while it was still 40 degrees. 17.33 miles, 13.2mph, 1407 ft elevation gain here near the Appalachians of western Maryland. I've been home 30 minutes, and I'm still waiting for feeling in my toes. I need to find something better! Still my 2016 Trek 7.3 FX took me out to the cows.

Same ride as last weekend. A nice sunny day but a slight head wind most of the way.

I did focus on the bike here then recomposed for the shot not realising the camera was set on AL Servo.

I attached a small utility basket from a box store (was white) I painted black to the rear rack. Attached with brackets/bolts. I have side baskets but not using because they add like 7lbs. This little basket is much lighter. I often bike to the store so I just keep it attached. The green bungee cord only cost .33 cents from dollar store (you get 3 bungees for $1).

Little multi use reserve about 5 minutes from where I'm house sitting at the moment.

Heaps of firetrails and single track of various degrees of condition.

Also lots of sand, so lucky I've got 2.1" Kenda Small Block 8s on the DS
