Today my 7.3 FX took me about 8 miles on the Olentangy trail mostly, and the streets around my home, then the streets in Clintonville, to the Bikesource shop and back. Yesterday it took me about 15 miles on the Olentangy and Scioto trails.

It's turning out to be quite a luxury to have two hybrids. The Trek is pretty much bare, and the Felt is loaded up with everything I need to ride to work or shopping. I'm thinking about putting some aero bars on the Trek. Or maybe on them both. Always a work in progress.

Got my hybrid yesterday and rode it today for the first time...only went 4 miles but I had no water and I'm still a bit out of shape!...average speed was 11mph with a max of 22ish mph. All street riding. Definitely needs adjustment on the derailleurs. If anyone has a video or instructions on adjusting derailers with 3 front cogs I'd love the info...I'd like to try adjusting myself before I take it to a bike shop...not that I'm cheap...I just enjoy doing things myself when I can.

Lovely day to explore the greenways of Denver. Took a rest stop at Overland Pond. My hybrid rested with me.

Nearly 15 mile loop around town. Kids were going to friends to swim so I rode my bike over and stayed there a while. Then rode to local park to meet a guy about buying a bike for my son he had for sale on Craigslist. Storm was approaching so I tried to hurry home and took a shorter route that ended up being a mile longer or so and finished uphill. Quads are on fire, lol.

Belgian Beer Owyeah!

Today I rode out for 13,5km (8,4 miles) ... I climbed the "beerendries", a typical steep climb in the "Ronde van Vlaanderen" and it was the hardest hill I ever conquered (although that doesn't say much since I'm a newbie).
I did an average of 28km/h (17,4 m/h) and at arrival in Sint-Goriks-Oudenhove I drank a nice Westmalle Tripel (a hint to you cc_rider as this is one of Belgium's finest Trapist beers)

Cheap?
Ofcourse you're not "cheap" when you adjust your own deraillleurs.
I find it funny how many people will brag on and on about their fantastic bikes when they do not even understand the simple mechanics of their own derailleurs and need some prefessional bikeshop constantly.
I can easily pay to get my bike fixed and I do sometimes, when special and very expensive tools are needed, but the feeling you get when you make or fix your own bike can't be beat

A newby who rides (part of) the Ronde averages 17+mph and drinks a Belgian Tripel at the turn around! You've already surpassed all of us. Get drop handlebars and post in "Road Bike", you're too good for us! Haha. Welcome Adelaa, thanks for the trip report. You say a lot with a few words.

I did a charity bike ride (Challenge Of The Centuries in Hartwell, Ga) and did the 37 mile route. It was a great course, mostly flat, but even so, tonight I'm feeling some aftereffects!
