Took me to Wally mart today, had to return a couple of things, and also got some cheap stiff-soled sandals to use for cycling, until I get something else that will take cleats. All my other shoes are minimalist (thin, flexible soles) and not ideal for cycling.

18.18 miles to pay some bills, then headed home, just didn't feel like riding more today, strange.

9.47 miles to load my bike on a truck that will ship it to Babylon where I will start the 108 mile route to Montauk.

https://astoriahd.blogspot.com/2012/0...947-miles.html

This included my first trip over the Williamsburg Bridge of which I only shot the climb (I messed up and didn't film the descent).

I've also been shooting panoramic picture with my new Razr Maxx.

The first one is the Pulaski Bridge shot yesterday. And the second one is todays shot from the Williamsburg Bridge.

Amazing panoramic shots up there, and cool camping trip pics too. So you rode the bike from your house to the camp site and back? How far did you travel in all?

You know what? It's 104 outside right now but if I don't get out from behind this keyboard I'm going to go batshid crazy. I'll stay close in but I'm going to ride around in circles until I'm 10 minutes away from heat stroke. Back in 30 minutes......

Looks like good riding Korax and Patrick.
Picture overload
I headed out on a sunny day and got soaked but who's complaining I actually like it, around here it's a "winter wonder land kind of thing"

It would have been interesting riding in the hills and clouds but I think I would have froze.

Well spotted Giant.

Igo I think you'd be right at home here, it's a cyclists/ motorcyclists paradise I wish I could better capture it on camera.

I went out for my usual Sunday ride on the rail trail. 34 miles RT. I jumped off the trail for a needed coffee and snapped this picture. These are all down the main street of the town. pretty cool.

I am new to the bike forums.net ~ just signed up yesterday and I have to say I really am glad I found the Hybrid forums. I am so impressed with the helmet videos...it can take us to places we just would not go. So thanks for sharing them.

Yes your aqueduct is a few years older than my pipe.
I don't think you can take a bad picture in Japan this pic speaks to me there's so much going on here to me and nothing central to the pic. I think you took it unplanned, spur of the moment capturing an every day moment of were you are.
I guess i'm saying I like it.

Every time I see those pics of Japan, it makes me want to take a trip out there. Beautiful scenery, that's for sure.

You got that right. I was just leaning against my bike in Gion, and the Maiko San (apprentice Geiko / Geisha) walked out of the lane beside me. It isn't unusual for me to see them whilst I'm out and about. Infact, it's almost every day. Gion is the perfect place to step back in time and forget about modern life.

Thank you, please make the trip one day. Kyoto and the surrounding towns are wonderful.

This area is about 40 km from my house.
Miyama...
