Did 15 miles today on the san gabriel river trail. It was 90 degrees today but it felt good! I really need a new bike though. My trek navigator kicks my butt.

Went shopping on the Sirrus when I got home from work, had to do the backpack thing. Then went on a road ride in heavy traffic, (rush hour) finished off with a ride around the park with my youngest daughter. Took a few photos by the lake. This bike handles soooo awesome, very comfortable to ride, fast and responsive. I love the flat bars for handling, the light weight, and 700 x 23c for speed, its just the best... and I never want to stop, best ride I've every had. The saddle is such a perfect fit also, wouldn't change a thing on it if I could.

Don't! I'd rather ride in 30 degree weather than weather in the 50s-60s. I do prefer warmer weather riding (70s are preferable), but it's still a lot of fun to get out this time of year and ride! I logged close to 150 miles outside on my hybrid this past week. The coldest ride was in the 20s, the warmest was yesterday in the low 40s.

I feel bad for you for having to deal with the summer heat--and hurricanes!

EDIT: I might as well post a picture from my Thursday ride:

First ride after conversion to flat bars, and other upgrades. Great Sunday morning in Florida, rode along the ST. Johns river.

This past Sunday was a low pollution day in Beijing, so I rode out to the mountains north of town.

I'm hoping that there's a clear weekend in early May. I want to ride out to the Great Wall, drink copious amounts of adult beverages and collapse in a cheap hotel, then ride back the next morning.

So far I've peddled over 100 miles this week. The first couple of days were absolutely miserable (cold, full cloud cover, and 20+mph winds). Thankfully the last two days have been sunny and slightly less windy. The local trails are almost completely clear of snow now too, so I'm also thankful for that. I don't have any problems taking the lane, but it sure is nice to have some peaceful riding where I'm not constantly worried about 45mph traffic. Here's a picture from today:

Seems like less and less time available for riding but I managed to squeeze in a quick 11 mile ride in tonight before the wife and kids got home. I've had my new bike about 2-3 weeks and have put 78 miles on it. Was hoping for 100 for March. I still might get there.

Thank you. It's a 2011 Rapid 3. So far, it has been a great bike. It's not quite as fast as my road bike, but the 28c tires fare a bit better on the unpaved trails that I ride on regularly.

It looks like it will be another beautiful day today, so I'm planning on heading out for another ride. 32 more miles and I will hit my first thousand miles of the year.

Finally made it down to the Beach...still quite chilly for this time of the year...feel sorry for the spring breakers so far! Barely making 70 this weekend. Had to stop for my favorite place for a haircut with the family!

Thanks.

There's a pretty decent pub out there, and I'm trying to coax a friend to ride out there with me. It's about 70km one way, so I'll need to get especially hydrated at the end.

Was another beautiful day here in the PNW! I got in 22.5 miles today after cleaning three bathrooms, killing the moss on my front lawn and eating a burrito. I was glad for the ride, it got me to 100 miles on my bike since I bought it 3 weeks ago.

Shoreline to North Everett via the Interurban Trail with plenty of wandering this way and that. I get distracted by pretty streets or oh look a better view of the Cascades!. Asked some picnickers near Marine View Drive which way to keep heading north to Marsyville but the road they suggested (only one in town it seems, besides I-5) had no shoulder, narrow lanes and was on a bridge. No thanks. Meandered back to home where I now sit thinking of food.
50 miles.
