A rainy and windy ride led to a beautiful view by the river. Also, lonely Lake Michigan on this rather cold spring.

Just hit Enter to go to the next line before placing pics, then hit Enter again to go to the next line before starting text again. Preferably hit Enter twice to put a space between text and pics.
To many nice pictures to comment on them all, wonderful looking bikes & back grounds. Went for a soothing ride, (not a work out one) spent a little over an hour on the bike, & JUST LOVE
that Giant Escape City ! If I didn't know better, I would swear they made it just for me
Probably do my first century on it..

With all of the rain that we have been getting, the river has flooded. It seemed like no matter which route I wanted to take today, all I kept finding were flooded roads/trails. There were spots where the water over the road looked to be about knee deep!
Still did a 25 mile ride, though. Temp was 39 and it was sprinkling on and off (thankfully I didn't get caught in a storm this time!).

Saturday rode from Arlington VA to College Park MD for Maryland Days. Lot of exhibits and events (like the insect petting zoo, the bone collection at the forensics lab, robots, fire tornado demo). Free ice cream at the Ag department.
37 miles R/T. Only my 4th ride of the year, so I'm still building my mileage base. Have much longer rides planned for next month.

Did a 16 mile ride with my girlfriend. We went from Forest Hills, Queens, NY into Rockaway Beach, Queens, NY. This is a shot I took on the bridge crossing over.

I spent some time on the road bike yesterday afternoon (26 miles) and then went out for a 14 mile ride with my wife on my hybrid after we made dinner; it was an excellent start to bike month! Save for the fact that I'm still sore and bandaged up from going down in a corner on Monday, that is (on the road bike, hit some sand, bike slid out, and I went down).
I also took some pictures of the flood aftermath. The first picture shows what should be a road/bike path. The left lane is a one-way for motor vehicle traffic, and the right lane is a bike lane. It is like this for miles, so I wonder how long it will take to clean it all up. There's also a lot of garbage stuck in the trees along the river--what a mess! The second picture shows the high water line about 1/2 mile away from the river (4-5ft above the trail). There are still several areas that are flooded, but the water level is quickly returning to normal.

I'm just glad that I don't live on the river and that I live on a large hill. One of the local news stations interviewed a riverfront home owner who said that being on the river was worth putting up with a flood every now and then. I think that he is nuts! There's no way I want to have to worry about my home filling up with water!

Today I took my Hybrid out to do a warm-up / test on my body as I have a nice long ride coming up in two days time, which I'll use my Road Bike.
Sadly I think I peaked today, two days early. I was feeling pretty freekin good...

Nice rides guy's! I was feeling good about myself till I see some of your rides! None the less, a couple weeks into my riding adventure on my new 7.2fx I decided to ride to the lake today as soon as my wife got home from work and ended up taking a different route home making a large circle. Just shy of 19 miles. I could have gone a bit longer no problem but had to return to wake up the kids!
So far though besides another 20mile run with friends at a sloooow pace (for some reason they like the 20" Bmx style..) I've only commuted to work a very short distance, and taken little 5-10mile rides around the neighborhood, so I guess I did ok. Sorry I'm no professional photog

... it was a tough chioce between the 2012 or the '13... The '13 has the cooler paint, but I love the mech bb7's of the '12, the paint won, and the brakes are replacable ... where as re-painting is not cost effective.
