I just got caught in my first rain. I didn't think it was supposed to rain today and then after I left I started to notice it was getting awfully dark. I saw the first lightning about 3 miles from home and got a little wet the last mile, but it didn't really start to come down until I was safely inside.

i rode to the Palo alto Baylands, it was windy as usual. i went counter clockwise around. i saw two photograghers, a few jog /walkers, and three bicyclists. i even brought a candy bar, it was delicious.

i went on my first 20 Mile bike ride. this is where i went

https://maps.google.com/maps?client=f...l&hl=en&tab=wl

i went around the badlands, and around bay shore lake, and then went to the parking lot of the mountain view amphitheater , it took about 2 hours, i stop to eat my delicious snacks and watch the scenery a little bit. it was 10 miles there, and another ten back. it was a little bit windy on the way back.

Did 10 miles yesterday at an average of 20,5 mph and then went on a paintballing-event organized by my employer and I got a kill ratio of 17-3 crawling and running through the woods for 4 hours.
Took a detour on the way back and did 13,5 miles at an average of 19,5 mph.
This was the most sportive day I had in years.

What kind of bike are you riding again? I bet you would be a complete monster if you had an aggressive road or TT bike!

thank you here is the route.

https://www.mapmyfitness.com/route/detail/18984400/

maybe i'd go even more faster. but because of high traffic and gravel paths especially in the last part of the route i have difficulty in riding.

I would if I could, but I can't
I have a double hernia in both my back and my neck due to car accidents, so I can't drive aggressive bikes at all
My stem is 30° and with 4 spacers to have an upright enough riding position that I can still handle.
The only reason why I can still do 20 mile rides is because I have a very comfortable triathlon-bar that takes a lot of weight of my back and puts it on the handlebar.

Yesterday.

Same Sunday ride, different pictures. Turtle, geese, heron.

I also saw a black squirrel and a muskrat but they scurried off before I could get pictures.

Today we went and did about 9 miles around Lake Balboa/Sepulveda Dam area. Nice cool morning and very overcast. Much warmer now.

today i went on a 20 mile trip from my house to the badlands and around shoreline lake, then off to the mountain view theater and then i backtracked back to my house. it was a great ride. i did it in an hour and forty minutes, also i took one break to eat my "energy bar" (aka candy bar). i even met some one on the trail and talked to him, old timer with interesting stories of this rides and where he had gone.

Yesterday evening I went on a small group ride. One of the city council members, Tom Labonge, hosts rides every Wed. throughout July through different neighborhoods in his district. Last night was Toluca Lake and North Hollywood. My husband and two teachers I used to work with joined too! Afterwards we went for some kosher Chinese fusion at Mashu Mashu.
