Retro Leather X Porteur Bike (A Beauty To Drool Over)

A design project by French designer Nicolas Yvas using vintage parts. Its a work of timeless beauty to drool over! Enjoy!

Meh. I prefer the looks of real porteur bikes.
Chainstays are too short and that's hardly a porteur rack. Seems designed more for the hipster crowd than for any practicality.

The frame, handlebars and rack are leather-wrapped for that retro look. The tires are Schwalbe Delta Cruiser, probably 700X50 C as opposed to the more standard Col Del La Vie 650B X38 usually found on porteur bikes. The saddle even comes with a leather-wrapped flask underneath! Its cool and more of a design statement than practical transportation. But its still an eye-catching work of art that has to be appreciated!

Agreed, but I, personally, think that it should have been less fixie designed. There's enough of those around. Fenders would have made the whole thing 'pop', as well as 3-speed hub and dual Mafac centrepulls.
Just my opinion, of course.
