Good deal or not?
Is $800 a good deal for a used 2006 Specialized Sirrus Pro? I've been looking for a nice hybrid and saw this one for sale, so I wanted to get some opinions, if possible. Thanks.

It's alright. Nothing earth shattering. If it were me I'd offer $675 and see if they'l meet in the middle, or I'd look for something else.

Thanks. I was thinking the price was too high. Also, I found out it doesn't have the carbon fork or carbon rear legs, which is weird as they're supposed to be stock. That knocks off at least another couple hundred. I'm wondering if it might be a 2004 and this person was told it was a 2006 in error.

No doubt. I honestly don't think this person knew (they copied and pasted the specs from specialized.com), as they were told it was a 2006 when they bought it. I believe they got jipped.
Anyway, I'm looking around online and in bike stores for a good deal on a hybrid. I really want either a Trek 7.3 or 7.5 FX or a higher-end Specialized Sirrus (or something comparable). I know most of the bike shops are clearancing out all of their 2009 models now, making room for the new 2010 models, so maybe I'll come across something. Back to the hunt.

This camp then gets broken down at resale into the ones that about give them away, versus the ones that think the bike's worth almost what they paid for it since they never rode it. At least that's how it seems in my market.
