Giant Cypress ST
I purchased a new Giant Cypress ST. Is that a good bike? Have 30 return policy. After I purchased it came across the extra 100 dollars to purchase a Trek 7.1 or 7100.

I have a Cypress LX but bought it well used. I like it a lot. Looking at the specs, I'm not seeing a lot of difference between the choices you mention. Perhaps a slight difference in some components. All the bikers I talk to say Giant makes good bikes. Mine is 5yo and certainly held up well since I just got it from a student that used it in the city as a comuter. Only thing I had to fix was the frt deraileur that was rusted solid from geting road salt on it. From the looks of it, he didn't baby it is what I'm trying to say. I'd say take the Trek for a test ride and see if you like it a hundred dollars more.
