what kind of seat bag will be big enough to fit all this?, i looked at some seat bags and they look a little small to cram all that in. what tire lever are you using? because i normally use screwdrivers and Phillips to swap of the inner tube. does duck tape work as a good patch repair or not? also what stuff do people ordinarily put in their frame bags? food? or more tools.?.

Get a patch kit from your LBS. It will include everything you need, including tire levers. Less than $5. I think the mfr is Tire Innovations. Duct tape won't work as a patch, but will work as a boot in a tire. Then again, so will a folded up dollar bill.

Good Question.

I carry everything but the kitchen sink with me, I'm one of those people who always
wants to be prepared, and go over the top doing it. Here it goes, 1 tube new, patch kit,
5 millimeter Allen wrench, multi-tool, 1- adjustable wrench, micro pump, spare
chain link, Rain suit, reflector vest, spare batteries, flash light, ( micro pump ) , first aide kit,
spare flash light, ( micro version ), chain brake tool, my bike weighs around 31 pounds, with
crappy Suntour forks, heavy seat, ( that I love, with springs ), but when you add in rack, trunk
bag, built in panniers, Speedometer, light, it adds around another 30 pounds. Not counting personnel items cell phone, wallet, etc.. plus fluid's, now I'm looking around 60 t 70 pounds, that might be the reason I only average around 9.4 MPH on a ride, plus I live in a very hilly
area. ( Wonder what I might be doing on a light weight bike ), but I do not want to push it home, or call for a ride...Richard

You are missing something very important - first aid supplies. (I mean, try to be a littel more specific in your first aid supplies - it doesn't take much, if you have the right stuff.) A few assorted sized bandaids in a zip lock bag, and a LARGE bandana (also in a zip lock bag to keep it clean) to use as a BIG wound dressing (and to soak up a lot of blood when I crash...... ) (plus, don't forget a couple cheap plastic gloves, and a couple paper towels - for the same or other uses....)

I'm really glad I had that stuff......

impressive!, all i have at the moment is a flashlight, water bottle and a (small) front frame bag that holds a wallet and a cell phone, and some Delicious candy bars. i have so far about 68 miles on my bike total (in 2 weeks of owning it).
the tires i have on my bike are 700c X 38, are this are puncture resistant that thinner road tires?
