Hybrid Riders: What tires do you run??
I'm currently running specialized all condition tires on my Sirrus; however, every time wet weather comes along they act like tissue paper and I wind up with multiple flats. So I'm open to changing to another brand/model.
On my Alpine Monitor Pass hybridized mountain bike I'm running the 1998 predecessor of the current Michelin city tires. And yes believe it or not I have no dry rot issues and other than some fading of the label they look nearly new.

Jury is out, yet to be tested. Have Bontrager's H2 - Hardcase Plus (triple flat protection). Marketed as having great traction, durable, lightweight, fast, & smooth rolling. Will be using on crushed limestone path, paved trails, and road.

I'm running Hutchinson Acrobat 700x32. I don't have any complaints about them but evidently they are no longer available in the US so even if you wanted some they can be hard to find.

Schwalbe Marathon Supreme - I currently run 700X35 front, 700X40 rear. I love the combination. I have three more new tires in the basement for replacements (two 40s, and a 35), as I found a very good price by watching sales.
These tires have been MUCH better than the Specialized Burrough Pros that came with it. They flatted every 100 miles, avg. Or, about once every 2.5 days.
I know the "glue" in my patch kit isn't dried out yet, because i used it for the first time since I installed these a year and a half (almost 2) years ago. I fixed a flat for another rider who didn't know how just the other day, and he had no flat repair kit.
These tires aren't cheap - but they offer EXCELLENT flat protection, VERY Good Grip (wet or dry), spin up VERY easily, and roll VERY well. They have a VERY bright reflective sidewall, and are wearing MUCH better than I anticipated. (I have over 15,000 miles on them) They are starting to show some serious wear, especially the rear, and I will have to change them this year, probably this summer. I just may run the front some more, before changing it. They have no transition zone when leaning over, as the "tread pattern" runs up the sidewall. They exhibit a slight vibration when brand new, but that goes away as those little edges get worn in. These are very close to slicks, even though they have a tread pattern. ( I ride them on pavement, gravel roads, hard packed limestone, fine aglime that you find on many "trails", hard packed dirt, and grass.) They don't do well in deep sand.
I recommend these tires to everyone, and even though kinda pricey (if you search, you can find better prices - especially Niagara) they turned out to be an excellent choice.
I also might consider a 32 on the front, but will probably keep a 35-40 on the rear for the better ride.
I also run these 85 PSI tires at 90-92 PSI, as the roll is even better - but no improvement above this pressure.
Other than fixing other peoples flats, my flat kit doesn't get use any longer. (I was very careful in my wording, regarding flat performance!)

If you like everything else about the All Condition tires, there is always the All Condition Armadillo and Armadillo Elite. Those should take care of all of your flat problems. Of course both weigh more than the tires you have now.
Rivendell/Panaracer Ruffy Tuffy tires look good, if you dont mind the tan sidewall.

I have the All Conditon Armadillos in 28s on both the front and back. No problems after a few hundred miles. I inflate to between 90 on packed trails and 100 on paved roads.

SR, what size tires are you running on your Sirrus? What size do you want to run?

Performance house brand 28's on my FX 7.5, should have gone with 25's, next pair. These replace the stock Bontrager Hard Case 32's. It made a big difference in the bike handling and feel, much quicker and better road feel. However they fit tight, I broke two levers getting them on.

Continental Gator Hardshell 700x25. They are very tough and that's necessary for the awful deteriorating roads here.

Stock 700x32 Bontrager race lite hardcase, but I should have had them switched to 700x28 when they built the bike. I guess I'll have to wait until I wear them out now.

I use Kenda Kross Supreme, I have found them to be excellant mtb or road performers. I live in the desert so off road'n involves sand, washes, rocks, hills and ruts which these tires have handled very well.

I've got to get Schwalbes! I have Kenda Kouriers, they're really cheap, but between them and Avenir tubes, I've had a grand total of 1 puncture in a year, happened yesterday actually, after riding around the dirt outskirts of a corn field. They even survived an entire goat head bush once upon a time. When they go I'm probably going to get Schwalbes of some sort though, they seem to be the most used and loved.

I've been using Conti Contacts, 700x37, very good urban tire. Needing a little more aggression for the trail riding thus have recently switched to Schwalne Marathon Cross, 700x38. Too early to comment properly on the latter but they seem quite promising.

Nothing special.
Kendra 38c road tires, came factory on the bike, and have found no need to change them, (SO FAR ), love the wide tire, do a lot of gravel roads, but want to stay as small as possible.
I need lock out front suspension. just had to get that off my chest....

I have Specialized Hemesphere 700 x 40 tires that came on my Univega Via De Oro when I bought it used. I have had and been riding the bike for well over a year now around the Los Angeles streets and have never gotten a flat. The tires are still in excellent condition as well. I have not heard these tires mentioned on the forums, but they have been serving me well.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Marathon Plus are overkill unless you live in goathead central... the basic Marathon is lighter, faster, and has very good performance characteristics that are typical with most Schwalbe offerings.
