ED from biking ?

Ok I bought a new seat for my Hybrid it a Serfas Rx and it seems pretty good. Now I am seeing all the write-us re ed from riding more than a few hours a week. I have been riding about an hour or 2 a day pretty much every day. I am 50 yrs old.

Is this a big concern ?? I have my seat almost level only slightly tipped down. I do get sore sit bones but not numbness in Mr Happy

What do you guys find ??

If anything, I get EF from riding. Then again, I ride with my wife, and she's very fit.

Joking aside. It's not a problem in my experience. ED from riding is mostly scaremongering imo.

Using a Serfas Rx saddle here. Rode 35 km today and so far no problems with ED.

I am not a doctor..

But try and tilt the seat a little up in the front, I always feel like I am sliding down if not.
As far as the ED, do not think it has anything to do with riding. You might want to visit
your doctor. Richard :thumb:

But doesn't mean that anyone else will; different people like different seat angles. And tipped up seats are more likely to lead to ED related problems.

I think if you Google seat positions, you will find men tend to prefer the more angled up slightly,
and the women, more down. But have never seen that either are likely to cause
ED......:) Richard

That type of problem can occur if your saddle is pressing on the nerves in the wrong place. Proper fit and setup is important. If you saddle is too narrow, shaped wrong for you or has a lot of soft padding you may notice problems. If you change your riding position you may need to reevaluate your saddle or setup.

If you don't notice any problems with numbness after your rides then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
