Better than Boardman? and any unusual/unique bikes?

Looking for a road/city/touring hybrid (not unformfortable cross bikes) with disc less than "800" max (ideal 700) and less than 10.7kg (with pedals)

So, is there anything "else" similar to or better than Boardman "Team" bikes in terms of durability, components quality & adjustability compared to the list below (how would you rank them)????

So far I've only found few:

- Whyte Portabello (better brakes?)

- Bianchi Camaleonte 3 (inc. adjsutable stem)

- Cannondale bad boy 700
So, which one have better components?

- Gary Fisher Mendota (No weight info)

- Specialized Sirrus Pro ( only available with disc in 2006???)

- Merida S-Presso+700-D (ok it 10.8kg)

- Focus Corrente Courier 2010 (cheapest & light)

- Redline Metro Disc (USA & no weight info)

- Giant Escape Disc

Note: didnt consider "Trek Portland" or "Genesis Croix de Fer" due to cost

Notable mention of unique & unusual bikes (with disc):

Marin Muirwoods - 1st 29er as a Hybrid

Cinelli Bootleg ZZ Rats - Uglyest bike

Kona Dew Drop - Multiple personality (MTB frame, Touring Tires, Road Drop)

Pacific If Mode - Transformers Robots In Disguise

Orbea Diem Drop Disc - simply "Beautiful"

Specialized Globe Disc - Who saids beauty can't be cheap and comfortable?

Airnimal Rhino - MTB + Foldable = trouble maker

BMW M Bike - Cost come with the brand

Cube Epo - Probably the only ebike that looks right

Don't overlook the city bike. Lots of people do and it should be considered the ancestor of all hybrids on the road today, not the MTB.

You speak of "unique" bikes, yet you name them by their brand & type name.
Contradictio in terminis!
To me, a unique bike is a bike that cannot be bought in a store, but has to be assembled by oneself.

Also, why do you consider crossbikes to be uncomfortable by default?
