For any of you like me always looking for some upgrades for your ride. Nashbar has their carbon fiber cross forks on sale for $109.00. So I had to endulge in some of that. One of the reviews said it lightened their ride 2 lbs. Don't know about that but I sure do love me some Carbon Fiber.

I got one of these for $120 back in September. I didn't buy it for weight savings, but replacing my crappy chromoly fork with Nashbar's CF cyclocross fork saved 160g (about 1/3 lb.). The Nashbar fork weighs 1.4lb. To save 2lb. by switching, you'd have to start with a big fat heavy boat-anchor fork.

With that said, this was one of the best upgrades I've ever done on my bike, and you paid even less than I did. Congrats!

Well came home from work today to find my fork on the front porch. Just finished putting it on. I really like the look of it. Didn't get to try it out for the pouring rain but it did end up shaving 1.5 lbs off the hybrid, so I must have had a pretty heavy stock fork.
