Cannondale CX4 question

Hi all. I got a question about the Cannondale Quick CX 4. I am thinking about buying one but first I wanted to come on here and see if anyone knows anything about them. I wanted to get one because I need a bike that I can jump on and leave the house and get some riding in. The roads around where I live are not the best and neither are the drivers. One that I could cruise on the road and if I needed to I could ride off the road and on to the grass on the side of the road. There are also alot of potholes and gravel around where I live. Maybe ride on the sidewald just to get to the next road that has a bike lane. I have looked at other bikes with shocks like the GT Transeo 3.0 and Giant roam 1. I don`t think I would need one with the front shocks. I think the disc brakes would be nice to have in case I get caught in the rain. Just like to know should I get one with front shocks or not. I think the shocks would weight the bike down to much.I like to ride fast. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I looked at these a while ago before I bought my current bike.

I note that the CX4 has no front shock but it has disk brakes. If you're concerned about weight and going fast not sure why you'd look at a bike like this.

You seem to be a much better candidate for the Quick series...not the CX series. From memory they have similar quality components and prices between the bikes (CX4 and Quick4, CX2 and Quick 2, etc).

The Quick series geometry is much more comfortable too...I found the CX's really squeezy.

I second the opinion on the Quick series. The 4 would be good if your going to do off road a little. The 3 has skinnier tires and is faster on road.

I`m going to have to check out the Quick series, that might be more of what I`m looking for. Thanks for the input.
