Slippery handle bars

Slippery handle bars
Today our hot humid weather lead to my hands being very wet and slipping off the bar ends in my trek 7.3 hybrid twice. I realize this is not safe. I currently do not have gloves as I have found changing hand positions keeps my hands from getting numb even on longer rides. Any ideas on a wrap or something I can do to make the bar ends not so slippery? If you think gloves are the way to go, can anyone recommend a pair that would help this slippage problem.

You can put grips on most round tubed barends. These Oury grips aren't quite long enough so I'm thinking some long BMX grips or Track grips might work better for my barends.

Sorry, I should have said the end of the handlebar rather than bar ends. I do not have bar ends. The grip is called an ergo grip which is supposed to dampen vibrations. The grip is not tubular but flares out at the end of the handlebar so I don't think the grips you posted would work. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to be more careful with using the correct terms.

In that case grips will be even easier to install, or bar tape, yes gloves will help as well

If you go the glove route I personally like the Specialized BG line. Also I hear Pearl Izumis are good value too.
