The fact remains that you will not ride all day for four days in the rain with V-brakes without maintenance or severe loss of braking performance.
Okay. Thanks for your opinion.

Cannondale Quick Carbon 1. I bought my wife one for her birthday earlier this year after she looked at and test rode the Trek FX 7.9 and the Specialized Sirrus Pro, both carbon frame-flat bar bikes. The Cannondale brought tears to her eyes during her test ride and that was it. After 8 months or so, it is a fabulous bike and there are no regrets. In fact, it is such a great bike I am thinking of getting one.

The 2012 Jamis Quest with the optional triple 50/39/30T. Was told it would come out in mid November maybe earlier. For my commute I purchased a Jamis Exile 1. Not the best 29er on the market but has great potential. I purchased fenders, pedals, and Serfas road tires all for a great deal. All the other gear like head and tail lights ect. can be transferred from the Transeo. Thanks for the help everyone.
Hey there LiveFreeAndRide!

I think you've made an excellent choice! Few bikes have the ride quality that the Codas and Satellites have. The Quest is few notches all of the Codas. You're going to be very happy with your Quest. I can assure you!

Happy Trails...

Cannondale Quick Carbon 1 Rack

Here are some photos of recently installed Tubus Fly rack on Cannondale Quick Carbon 1 to be ridden on the C&O Canal next month. You may note the tires are not stock-Michelin City 700x38c, appear to be the largest size mountable.
