Replacement tire options for Cannondale Bad Boy 9

I've finally narrowed my choice of bike to the Cannondale Bad Boy 9 after an extensive test ride today. The sizing was just right and the ride was comfortable, and, well, it's just a d*mn good looking bike to boot. The only thing I'm not so hot on are the Kojaks that it comes with, I can see how they're great for a dry (something we don't really get here in Blighty) summers, but I want something more suited to the changing weather and glass and nail magnet that is the streets of London. I was thinking of Marathon Plus tires which are widely regarded as one of the best, but I'd like to know what is the widest tires that I can fit on the BB9 without it all ending horribly wrong for myself.

Thanks

Yes, their web site should have the details or if you email them they will be very helpful.

Great point, giantcfr1. My local bike shop says Cannondale has super customer service. However, other than the REI locations, I need to put in some drive time to visit an actual Cannondale dealer. Keep us posted, swmlon.

If you click on "customer Q&A" you can leave a question. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the helpful information, unfortunately, the store (biggest UK bike retailer) made a major c*ck up and ended up selling the BB9 even though I had put it on hold and left a deposit. Epic fail! They said they wouldn't be restocking the BB9 until they get the 2013 models, which they said would be in the new year!

Suffice to say I was irate! But I kept calm, left the store vowing never to return, and popped across the square to another store and walked away with a new bike, not quite the BB9, but the Cube Hyde SL which for all intents and purposes, feels like a real winner with it's better parts (shimano XT all over the place), slightly more relaxed geometry and more comfortable ride. Will post a new thread on it soon after a good long ride today hopefully.

That is a true downer. I am glad you found a nice bike. I hope you are square with your deposit.
