How much difference do tires make? My D-back came with Kenda Comfort tires, which look rather large and heavy. Will a thinner tire such as a Kenda Kwik Trax or Bontrager make a difference?

I am not sure how tires should feel, I guess they feel OK. They serve their purpose and I like that they are rugged enough for potholes, gravel, and hopping curbs.

What size tires did it come with?
Since that tire comes in 26" & 700C versions, saying Kenda Komfort is about as informative as saying Chevy.
Thinner tires WILL make a difference.
You didn't specify WHAT difference you hope to achieve though.
