Bought a used Giant Cypress - Two Questions

1. Owner said it was a 2007 or 2008. Is there any way to tell what year the bike is?

2. Is it possible to get the user manual for the bike (download or hard copy)?

Thank you

Look through https://bikepedia.com/ for you bike to see if you can narrow down the year / model etc. Then go to giant's web-site to see if there any specific manual(s) https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/ There may be several required manuals due to the 3rd party drive train and other components. If so, then look for those manuals on those respective sites. e.g. SRAM, Shimano etc.

The serial number may help in identifying the year, but I couldn't tell you how to determine that. Using bikepedia is good idea to help narrow it down, but I just did a Google search '2007 Giant Cypress owner's manual' and here are the results. You might also want to take it to a Giant dealer and see if they can help you figure out what year it is.

Thanks Seve, bikpedia helped as it looks like the bike is a 2007.

Edit: Actually, it looks like a 2006 model since its a 17" frame with 700x38c tires and the 2007 did 700x40c tires.

no1mad, thank you. I had found that site and dowloaded the generic manual. Wasn't sure if there was a more specific manual for the Cypress. I'll see what can be deciphered from the serial #.
