Girlfriend choosing a hybrid...
Hi all,
My girlfriend is looking at new bikes. She currently has a comfort hybrid (Jamis Citizen), and likes it, but wants something a little lighter and quicker. She doesn't like drop bars and skinny tires, so road bikes are out! So she's looking at some of the sportier hybrids and asked me to post on here to get some opinions. I'm going to look around with her so she can ride a few different bikes and see what she likes, which will be the most important thing, of course. But general opinions would be great. The local Craigslist market is not very strong here for women's bikes and she wants a warrant, so she's looking to buy new from a dealer (plus, I encourage her to support a LBS ). We have Jamis, Trek, and Specialized dealers around here. So, with a limited budget of around $500, she's considering:
Jamis Coda (my personal favorite of the group)
Jamis Allegro
Trek 7.1 or 7.2
I don't know much about Specialized bikes, but it seems the Crosstrail, Vita, or Sirrus lines might be of interest to her.
Any thoughts on any/all of these would be great.
Thanks!
Rob

if you can try to find a cannondale retailer . my gf just go the quick 5 and loves it compared to the trek 7.1 which she also tried.but in the end , for around that price range they all will be great.
