2012 Jamis Coda Comp in Gray??

Hi,

I finally found a lbs with a 2012 Jamis Coda Comp in my size (yay!!!), but when I got to the store, I was surprised to see that it was gray. Jamis' website only shows them in blue (and purple for the women's model). I'm confused. Does anyone know if it actually comes in gray this year or if this is actually a model from another year? I put money down on it (perhaps I shouldn't have) and told them that I preferred the blue, but if they couldn't get the blue I would take it. Thanks!

Yes, I have heard from others on this forum that they have seen 2012 Jamis Comps in gray at their LBS, although it is not yet shown on the website. They started selling the Comps in gray midway through the 2012 models (by popular demand).

I have a 2011 Coda Sport, which is the same as a 2012 Comp (almost), with carbon fork in the gray color. They switched the model names when the 2012s appeared. The Comp is a very good choice, and I like the gray, but I understand that others may not feel the same about this shade. I had a blue bike before and it wasn't quite as fast as this gray one.

Color is very important to me--my saddle tilt may be wrong and my stem length might make my hands numb, but I look cool (I think), or at least my bike does.

Thanks, Batcat! I called my lbs this afternoon to see if they were able to get a blue one for me, and they said that Jamis is out of blue in 17 inch and won't be getting more in anytime soon. So, I guess I am stuck with the gray. I was kind of bummed about it until you said that gray is faster. Now I'm excited again.
