I've been using Wellgo B67's for the past year or two. awesome.

not all wellgos are equal, the better ones have cro-moly spindles, and servicable cartridge bearings. Wellgo are one of the bigger manufacturers of OEM pedals resold with all sorts of brand names. these are the ones I have.

found them on amazon or fleabay ro something for quite cheap, I think they are a discontinued model so were on clearance.

I have platform pedals with Power Grips straps. They're a great substitute for clipless pedals and enable you to use muscles to pedal that would otherwise not be available without clipless. With a little practice a person can learn how to get in and out of them quickly.

Those are very nice pedals. Only drawback is the sharp tips. They can chew up your shins. The upside is they do grip like glue.

yeah, bmx pin platforms can definitely chew up your shins in a crash.

these seem to be fairly durable as alloy platforms' go, I've smacked into several rocks and such at speed, and they haven't cracked or broken yet.
