I've been using Wellgo B67's for the past year or two. awesome.
not all wellgos are equal, the better ones have cro-moly spindles, and servicable cartridge bearings. Wellgo are one of the bigger manufacturers of OEM pedals resold with all sorts of brand names. these are the ones I have. http://pierce.smugmug.com/By-Date/20...IMG_5926-L.jpg found them on amazon or fleabay ro something for quite cheap, I think they are a discontinued model so were on clearance. |
I have platform pedals with Power Grips straps. They're a great substitute for clipless pedals and enable you to use muscles to pedal that would otherwise not be available without clipless. With a little practice a person can learn how to get in and out of them quickly.

yeah, bmx pin platforms can definitely chew up your shins in a crash.
these seem to be fairly durable as alloy platforms' go, I've smacked into several rocks and such at speed, and they haven't cracked or broken yet. |
