New Clipless Pedals. Help :)
I have been using my clipless pedals for about a week now and absolutely love them. I have no idea why it took me so long to convert and I can't even imagine riding without them. With that said, my toes seem to tingle after riding for awhile and I get a burning sensation around the ball of my foot. I tried adjusting the positioning, but that seemed to make things worst. I can't help but think that I may be using too thin of socks or something like that. Am I totally off based here? Any suggestions?

How do the shoes themselves fit? Are you flexing your foot when you pedal? Are they laced tightly around your foot?
I've never used clipless, but it seems odd that a clete on the bottom of the shoe would be a liable cause for circulation restriction. It sounds more likely a shoe issue to me. Again, I've never used clipless so I could easily be wrong. |
I had similar issues with clipless pedals and longer rides. I learned to wiggle my toes, change foot position for a couple of rotations and to pull up rather than push down. After a few months of doing this I realized that I no longer had foot issues.
