Trek misses a marketing opportunity for DS series?

Come on Trek! You couldn't give us some sort of discount on the DS series for the first week of August? Maybe 10% of the 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 etc. etc.

I don't know, I am thinking an opportunity missed

What are you babbling about? Trek only has one promo going on right now, and that's on the '12 Madone 5.9.

I gotcha. He's referring to the dates guys. 8-1, 8-2, 8-3.

10% of the 8.1 does not make any sense. If you are asking for a 10% price reduction why would that be an opportunity for Trek to market the DS? If you are looking for a price reduction ask the dealer or shop online.

I think some people are in need of a sense of humor injection.

Sorry for the confusion, I just happen to obsess on the DS series. I am dying to get one but the money situation is just a wee bit tight right now. I just like the concept of the universe aligning by buying an 8.5 today. Maybe by Feb. 1st next year I can save enough for a 2.1.?

The 8.5 really is a nice bike. I saw one a few weeks ago at the LBS. I was really impressed. But they also said wait for 2013. Specialized is coming out with a new line of Crosstrails. Their high end model will supposedly blow the 8.5 out of the water. Who knows, good luck on finding your dream bike.
