Cursed!
 

A few years ago I got a new Schwinn, and it rained for three days, last year I got a new Raleigh, and it rained for three days.

Today I picked up my new Salsa at the bike shop. Las Cruces, and got in about eight miles before.......

It was built to order and I have been waiting about three weeks for all the parts.

This kind of thing always happens to me.... Vacations... sporting events... you name it. I'm waiting on my bike to come in next week and I have a strange feeling that it's going to be a rainy few days once I get it. good luck!

So you are the reason it poured rain all day and I had puddles in my yard. XD

At least you let the sun come out in time for our trail work session this evening. Thanks for that.

BTW, does it not make you nervous to clamp by the top tube? I guess I'm in the habit of clamping always by the seat tube.

It is just stored there. Very lightly clamped.

Move to California. It doesn't rain here for 7 months of the year. Great biking weather. I love the color of that bike. Great looking bike!

It is life I guess!!

I managed to get nearly 300 miles the first week, so I figure it ain't too bad..

I got a new Rivendell bike, rode for a week, and then the freehub went. So, it'll be in the shop for longer than I've owned it. Go figure.

I've got my old GT hybrid for longer/messy trips, and my Brompton folding bike for the relatively short commute to work. The Rivendell was to be "do-it-all" bike that replaced the hybrid mostly.

But geez... the old GT sure doesn't ride like the Rivendell! Rivendell doesn't' really produce a hybrid per se, but I have the Sam Hillborne model, which is probably more like a relaxed cyclocross.
