Continental touring tires are supposed to be pretty tough. Gator Hardshells are pretty good too although I'd get the 32's since they run narrow.

I'm not familiar with those tires but in my own experience, upgrading to good tires was the best thing I've done for my bike. They made a world of difference in the quality of the ride in speed, handling and comfort.

Have ran them on our Co Motion tandem in 700x28 & my Co Motion touring bike there not to bad of a tire for the price and there durable & wear well ( I like them). A lot less in cost than the Ultra Gator skins mentioned (have ran Gator Skins on the tandem & touring bike to, good tires as well) they do weigh a little more than the Gator Skins mentioned not a big deal in my opinion..

Can you quickly cancel the order? If you paid $33.99 as per your link you have paid a great deal more than CRC are selling them. :twitchy:

How about these tire you have mentioned? I'm also looking for some tire for upgrade my bike.

Go for some vittoria rubino pro. I've been using them on my bikes since 1995 and highly recommend them.

In my opinion, Specialized's house brand of tires are very good. Pricey but seems to last.

Picked up the bike yesterday at the LBS and it started raining as I was taking it off the rack. The bike needed a tune up so I had them do that as well. No time to ride today since I promised my wife to spend a day doing what she wanted (part of an anniversary gift). Jury duty starts tomorrow so it looks like Wednesday or Thursday might be the first chance to give them a good test, unless I get picked for a jury.

I got picked to be a juror so I have to be at the courthouse at 1:00 PM on Wednesday and possibly Thursday.
