Which front rack with front suspension?

I want to mount a front rack like the Surly front rack, having the ability to carry front lowrider panniers and having a top platform. I have a Wheeler Trekking Lite 3700 with 700 x40C tires and a suspension front fork with dropout eyelets.
Will the Surly front rack work, or are there other options?

The Surly rack won't work as you need low rider mounts as well as the dropout eyelets

Similar question asked about a week ago, some of the answers are dependant on if the suspension fork has rim brake mounts, and how much weight you want to carry on it, don't expect it to be too cheap if you want to carry a lot of weight on the front (20kg). http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...uspension-fork

The commuting forum may have the answers you seek.

What you need:

(Sherpa), or similar from another company.

hmm. with suspension, they talk about 'unsprung weight'... adding a rack and luggage to the 'unsprung' lower fork will greatly reduce the usefulness of the suspension.
