I Suck..............Not!!!!
Rode my hybrid today for the first time since being sick with some upper respiratory virus for a week. I use Strava on my android phone to record my data. When I finished my ride I saved the data and didn't pay it much attention. When I got home I was asked how far I rode and the distance was 33.7 miles but my avg. speed was 10.9 mph. This didn't seem right since I knew my avg was 14.6 @ 19.5 miles when I made my first stop. It wasn't until I was able to look up my ride on the computer that I saw my avg speed at 30 miles was 14.4. At that point the graph took a nose dive down to 5 mph then it dove in a perfect straight line from 5 mph to zero for the next 3 miles. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened. My feeling is that if I had lost the GPS signal completely my avg would have dropped to zero for the last 3 miles. I was really disappointed until I looked on the computer.

Ay fter reviewing my data on the computer and looking on the map I found out that the ugly operator error happened. I had paused it at the 30 mile mark to fill up with water and forgot to restart it so it didn't record the last 10 miles of my ride. Ooops.

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that does this. Seems like every time.
Congrats on getting back into the saddle after your illness!

The only thing I have to remember is that I am going to forget. Keeping that in mind helps a lot. Just arrange some kind of reminder.
