Widest, Knobbiest Tires on this 'Wide Tire Frame' (WTF) bike

Just purchased an inexpensive fixie from bikesdirect (Mercier Kilo WT TT--https://bikesdirect.com/products/mercier/kilott_wt_xiii.htm). The bike comes with Alex Rims' G6000s (700C, 622X17, 620g, ERD: 582). The website says the bike rim can handle up to 45x700c/ 1.75"x29" tires.

I'm looking for the fattest, knobbiest tire possible that would fit these rims. However, I'm having a terrible time finding 29er tires that are narrow enough or cyclocross tires that are fat enough. The 'best I've found are 700cx35s (Kenda Kross Supreme K194 Wire Bead Tire).

Does anyone have suggestions for a very fat and very knobby tire that would fit these rims, IOW, tires in the 700cx45 and/or 29 x 1.75 range?

Thanks in advance

Mo

Do some Googling. You do realize you're in a weird zone? Proper 29er MTB's usually run 2"+ tires, and real cross tires usually don't go past 32mm because of racing rules.

My old Gary Fisher came with IRC knobbies in 42mm,but I don't think they make them anymore.

Interesting, do you think these will fit my rims?

This might help, I'm sure they use to have more wide choices but this was the widest I could find, 45c/ 1.75

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Now off to deciding whether these tires would go well on the 622x17 rims. Somewhat pessimistic. Worried about the tires popping out while riding. What does everyone think?

My F600 and Pt Reyes have 2.1 and 2" tires on 17mm rims. The 600's tires are stock.
