Cannondale Quick 4 questions

I've looked multiple times at multiple bikes and somewhat seriously considered a few at my LBS. The more I look the more I'm looking back at the Cannondale. It fits my budget and seems to be a good bike. One question concerns the wheels. I'm about 235# and they only have 12 spokes unless I'm mistaken. Are those going to be strong enough or do I need to look at a different bike? If so, what would compare in quality and components? Thanks for any/all feedback.

I have about 1500 miles on my Quick 4 now and I was a little over 200lbs when I started riding it(around 190 now). It's actually 12 double spoked only on the front and 14 double spoked on the rear. So it's actually double what it appears on their website. Having said that, I have had no issues and I ride on some fairly bumpy roads here in NOLA and have hit some unexpected pot holes without issue. Here is a pic to illustrate.

I think the Quick 4 is a great bike as I just bought my wife one as well.
