Brooks Saddle for Fuji Crosstown (women's)
 

I am looking to purchase a leather saddle for an women's Fuji Crosstown with a suspension seat post as a birthday present. The person who owns it thinks her current saddle is fine but really likes the look of leather saddles. It looks like the choice with Brooks would be the B-68 S or B-17 S (or the men's versions of these which it appears some women like better). It also looks like the B-68 S is on the way out and I can't get it from wallbike.com (at least not in black). However, other sites have it in stock. Any thoughts? It doesn't have to be Brooks, but it does need to be leather. :-)

If you're going to be spend on a Brooks, then get a integrated seat post/clamp without the suspension. Then look into the sprung Brooks Saddles. You can find a beautiful seatpost, Brooks, and house brand saddles at velo-orange.com.

Also, you may wish to check that VO or any store you do buy from has a return policy so if she doesn't like it you can exchange or return. REI.com is great about that.

Thanks oddjob2. I didn't really thinking about a new seat post + a sprung saddle, but that might work out well. I'll see what I can find.

The problem with suspension seatposts is that over time, they all wobble.
