My DS 8.4 has come a long way..

It's been a while since i have posted...so here is what my 8.4 has evolved to.

Hopped Up Parts List:
Crank Brothers Carbon Bars(Cobalt 11 720mm)
Crank Brothers Stem(Cobalt 3 80mm)
Crank Brothers Pedals(Eggbeaters 3)
Crank Brothers Wheels(Iodine 2 29)
Crank Brothers Set Post(Cobalt 2)

Shimano Deore Shifters
Shimano Deore Hydraulic Brakes
Shimano SLX Front Derailer(To clear bigger tires)...the stock front derailers only allow at best, a 29x2.0mm tire
Shimano SLX Rear Shadow Derailer

Odi Grips(Rogue)
Schwalbe Rocket Ron 29x2.2 Front Tires
Maxxis IKON 29x2.2 Rears
Rockshocks Reba Dual Air(80mm)

Once it's daylight, ill take more pics of the parts close up.

Evolution indeed.

Definitely not teh same bike i got 2 years ago.

I have taking it over 44mph in the dirt, went down 4' drops, jumps a whole lotta jumps..and the frame is still good. Yes, the DS is a pretty tough bike.

I like the current wheels on the DS. I know you have a Rumblefish, how do you choose between the two before a days riding?

I also have a Trek DS 8.4 but everything is still stock on my bike. I saw that you first changed the Hayes disc brakes for plain Shimano hydraulic brakes (here). How did they perform ? Could you tell me why you changed again for Shimano Deore ?
I'm currently hesitating between Shimano M445 (the ones you first had) and Shimano Deore M615 (the ones you still have now ?) in replacement of the awful and noisy Hayes disc brakes.
