lost my sensor
Well on my ride yesterday my front tire caught a rock on the road and knocked my cadence sensor off the pedal. I'm guessing it hit the plastic wire tie and snapped it. Long story short, I ordered another one, but is there a way to keep it on there. Maybe backing up the wire tie with actual wire. Or does everyone just spend the 5 bucks every time it goes missing.

Are you really talking about the sensor or the magnet. Mostly the sensor goes on the frame and the magnet goes on the crank. In either case I tape over it with electrical tape around the crank. My crank is gray so I use gray electrical tape. And if it is the magnet you lost, you can use any rare earth magnet, I use the ones from Harbor Freight 10 for $2.99. http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piec...ets-67488.html You can also stick one of them against the existing one to double up if the distance to the sensor is a little too great to work reliably.

Yea just the magnet, I had a 3/4 inch spacer to get it withing the 3mm it was asking for. I was thinking of taking some bailing wire and using that to hold it there.

Packing tape.

I lost the magnet for my cadence sensor this weekend. I purchased the magnets above from Harbor Freight and stacked them on the pedal post until I got the magnets close enough to the sensor. Road 20 miles no adhesive or anything, I tried to lose them and they simply won't come off.
