Final decision: '12 Trek 7.1 FX or '13 Specialized Sirrus?
I'm looking for a $400-$500 hybrid bike to ride in Brooklyn and Manhattan for the purpose of meeting friends, going to the park, and generally riding around. I've been researching and test-riding hybrids for a week and my decision comes down to a 2013 Specialized Sirrus and a 2012 Trek 7.1 FX, both new. They both felt relatively the same while riding, which is great, so I'm hoping some of the bike experts on this forum can help a newcomer pick apart the specs and delineate any difference between the bikes. Thanks for your thoughts!

Agreed. The Spec has a touch better drivetrain than the Trek, but whichever feels/fits you best is the right one.
