Hi,

What kind of Bike Rack would you recommend for my Raleigh Venture 4.0 and Nissan Sentra ? Nothing fancy, up to $100.

I didn't like any of the sub $100 car racks I saw. I bought a Saris Bones 2.

We have one of these racks from Allen Sports on my wife's car. Pretty decent and easy to use. A big plus is that it folds up and stows away if desired.

The Saris Bones mentioned earlier is probably a better rack, though I have never owned one so cannot make a comparison from experience. I've heard nothing but good about the Saris rack, however. You can find them used for under your $100 budget. I also noticed a Saris Solo rack on the Performance website that sells new for about $50.

Generally, isn't the bike swings back and fort when accelerating or stopping?

Take a couple of old belts and use them to tighten the 2 bike together so they don't swing around too much. There are a million ways to keep them still.

I got the allen sport 3 bike delux carrier at amazon for under 45 with shipping. I got the 3 bike as I might at times haul 2, and place them on the outside loctions to keep them away from my trunk lid. the delux has more straps that also go sideways on the trunk lid and it really holds the bike rack secure.
