New Bike Day! (for my wife)
 

My wife had never had a bike worth more than $150 at Target. So when she told me she wanted to be able to ride long distances with me, I decided it was time to upgrade her ~40lb steel Schwinn for her first real "bike shop" bike.

My LBS (Totally gonna plug Tree Fort Bikes! I love this shop!) had this Cannondale Quick 4 W leftover from their 2012 stock. Normally a $600 bike at this shop, I talked them down to $430 out the door with a new Greenfield KS installed. Her first reaction when she hopped on was "Wow! It's so much easier on hills!" :lol:

Nice bike and it looks like it fits her perfect! If I was to get a HB again this would be the bike. I think she will find it rides a ton better too because of the carbon folk and the shape of the rear stays. Like the color also.

Thanks for the replies! Yeah, we got pretty lucky since this was Tree Fort's last 2012 and it just so happened to be a small that fit her nicely. It's probably the largest frame she could possibly have given the SOH, but she says it's comfy and she liked this one better than the 2013 Cannondale in petite small.

She likes the color, too. Tough to tell in the photos, but the Cannondale decal and the top of the top tube are a deep purple.

Cool...I bought stuff mail order from Tree Fort Bikes now that I live in Southern California...when I lived in Canton, MI, I never bought anything from them.

Bought the exact same bike- 2012 Cannondale WSD Quick 4 - midSeptember... it too was the last one in the shop (Outside Outfitters in Keego Harbor) and on sale as well. The size XS was the answer to my prayers - a bike that actually *fit*

I'll bite...what is a Greenfield KS? The Goog tells me it's a city but I'm pretty sure that's not what you had installed.

Now time to add a rack and Wald baskets?

430 OTD is a steal for a new quick 4. I just paid 679.00 before tax on a 13 Quick SL 3 before the 9.5 WA tax and I thought that was a good deal.

KS must be the kickstand.
