Used bikes for the whole family for $1450, is it a good deal?

I am a newbie looking to buy 4 bikes for my family and I. The idea is to buy used bikes under $500 that new would go for over $500. Went to a LBS where they sell only used bikes from known brands. I am looking for 3 hybrids and 1 hardtail. After trying a couple of bikes and speaking to the owner this is what it came up to:

2012 Giant Roam 2 - $450 (MSRP $520)
2012 Trek 7.1 FX - $300 (MSRP $430)
2012 KHS Vitamin A - $300 (MSRP $440)
2009 Diamondback Insight 2 - $400 (MSRP $620)

for a total of $1450.

Is it a good deal or a total scam? What price would you consider fair for the four bikes?
I attached the pictures for a better idea.

Thanks.

$1250 max. I'm not a d-back fan and they have probably all been rode hard. Is there any warranty?

Yeah, he will give them to me al cleaned up and with their proper maintenance and mentioned that any problem I have with the bikes he will fix it. They all look in pretty good shape though, they don't have any sign of abuse or tough use. I will offer $1200, I don't think he can afford to lose a 4 bike sale.

The price for the Diamondback seems especially high for what it is, and how old the bike is. I'd definitely try to talk them down on that, or a cheaper price for buying the lot.

+1 on the d-back being over priced. A warranty is good but I would still be careful. The Giant and the KHS are a good value for a used LBS bike, the trek isn't bad for a used 7.1 (lower on the fx lineup). I'm with you, if you offer $1200 especially if you're ready to go out the door with them he should take it. I'd also ask about accessories and maybe see about a percentage off those also if you buy all of it at the same time. Budget allowing of course.
